Jolly Phonics training
In partnership with Beyond Ourselves Zambia, Jubilee Centre recently hosted a two-day Jolly Phonics training for community school teachers in Ndola and Lusaka.
The training equipped 69 teachers, 22 in Lusaka from 10 community schools and 47 in Ndola from 15 community schools, with advanced skills in Jolly Phonics Pupil Book 2, building on their foundational knowledge from Book 1.
The session introduced innovative techniques designed to make reading and writing both engaging and accessible for young learners.
Using sounds, storytelling, color coding, songs, and interactive learning, teachers are now prepared to cultivate a strong foundation in literacy, inspiring a love for learning in their students.
This initiative goes beyond literacy alone, it’s about opening doors to lifelong opportunities and building brighter futures. With 7,474 students set to benefit, Jubilee Centre is nurturing potential and empowering a generation. Together, we are not only imparting skills but transforming lives and driving impactful change in our communities.
